I've been watching the prices on the silver eagles. There has finally been some movment to the upside for the lower grades. I have noticed that there has not been the same change for the silver commemoratives. They seem to be behind the curve on raising the prices.

When silver hits $18 to $20 the prices will fly upward. I've got a set of PF69 Silver Eagles and their prices have been the same for a long time. Note that a silver dollar goes for some $15 dollars now circulated. A few years ago they were only $8.

I was at a formal black-tie charity event last year and some fellow bid $300 for a painted 9-11 silver eagle and I whispered to the wife that the poorly brained fellow should have used Ebay!
